I have an 06 LBZ and I have always had a Snuglid. I was getting about 16.5 in the city and 20 on the hwy. That was with stock wheels and tires. I heard that the LMM was getting worse mpg due to emissions.

I had a Roll-n-Lock retractable on my old truck ('05 Ford Superduty short box) and did not see any mpg change.

I really like the retractables. I will install a Pace Edwards "Jack Rabbit" retractable cover on my new truck. Pretty pricey at $1400-1500.

Toneau covers and +MPG are a fairy tale. I've had 2 trucks and have hand calculated both after buying toneau covers and no gain at all. Plus myth busters did tests and they got the same results I did.

I think we are talking bed/tonneau covers; not shells/caps.
