Reset AVG MPG

NO joke here. Any way to reset the mps reading in the 7.5 it still reads 14.6 mpg, that can't be right. I would like to start from scratch and see what it says.

Thanks again Fish

Do you have steering wheel controls in your truck? If so go to which ever setting you want to reset and push and hold the arrow on the steering wheel in till it resets. For the first 5 or 10 miles it will go up and down till you get a good average.

Do you have a row of four buttons along the right side of your guage cluster? If so use the top one to cycle to Fuel Mileage and then press the one with a check mark on it. You can use the same procedure to reset the trip odometer and fuel used displays.

You will want to hand calc mileage each fill-up also to compare to the read outs.

The little full color addition to the manual covers a lot of the dash buttons too.....

It's pointless to use the average MPG on your DIC. It's never right on. And even if you do reset it...it's just going to eventually go back to what it was. And with the new LMM engine...they are suppost to get worse MPG...so 14.6 probably isn't that far off.

You reset it by going to the average MPG and holding the bottom of the 4 buttons in for 2 seconds.

My DIC and hand calculated are pretty darn close and I have a programmer. 14.6 is probably a little low, I am getting 14.2 but I have 35's with a 8" CST.
