Timer with remote start.

I could not find an answer to this question by searching the forums so here goes.
Has anyone asked the G.M. dealership if they can reprogram the computer so it will allow the truck to idle for more than 10 minutes at a time?
Another thing is will the high idle have to be programmed to cut in at a certain temperature or what? This kind of bugs me that I start the truck and it isn't even close to warm after running for 10 minutes.
Christ it's only about -5 in the morning! What's it gonna be like at -25 or colder? I really like my new truck but there are a few things that make me kind of wonder.

U should be able to let ur truck run for 15 minutes, but u have to start ur truck then hit the lock button twice, when u hear it beep u then can hold the start button for two or three seconds. The initial time will be 10 minutes but this will then extend it by 5 minutes.

As far as the High Idle there are several different ways depending on which truck u have. Some have the option in the DIY controls, if u have one like mine then u must turn the truck in the on position (don't start it) push the gas pedal all the way down and at the same time pump the break three times. (When complete it should flash on ur dash "High Idle".)

I just tried this cause I was hoping it would work and it didn't tried it twice to make sure I did it right and no luck. So I don't know if its different for different year/models or I'm just and idiot. But mine is an 08
