remote-start timer

anyone know how to get the truck to run longer? asked my dealer if the truck could be re-programed to run longer than 10 min. but they said no, also asked on-star. this is a factory installed remote starter. any input would be great.

There should be, but I haven't dealt with the factory installed ones. Factory one wasn't even an option for me...I went aftermarket and I can have my truck run for as long as an hour since it is a diesel....mine is currently set at 20 mins. Is there nothing in the owner's manual? There has to be a way to make yours stay running longer though unless it is a physical timing circuit....and even then, you could change it and let it run longer.

I tried that already, dealerships don't get those codes. Until Banks, Edge or some reputable aftermarket suppliers release the codes I think we're SOL.

well if you had it set to high idle i'm sure you would be into 80-100* in 10 minutes as long as it didn't shut down and be off for too long before you got in and restarted it

If I read correctly, repaeat the lock then the start button until lights blink and it should run for 20 min. Or just run out and put the key in the ignition and turn to on position, and run until empty!!!
