Bluetooth to Onstar

There is a great bluetooth product called the Galaxy 1000. I have it in my truck. It doesn't work for all years, but it is fantastic!!!

Wife and I use our Blackberry's in our '09 Avalanche and '09 Silverado through the Onstar bluetooth. Quick setup through the onstar phone button and you can pair your phone w the system. It uses your phone not the Onstar phone minutes. But the noise cancellation through Onstar is superb. Thanks GM for not f'n that up.

You just described what makes the Galaxy 1000 great, the buily in noise cancellation and speaker system is fantastic, the Galaxy 1000 allows you to use them with older GM vehicles whos owners are not using Onstar.

col maybe this is a dumba$$ newbie question so be gentle. I can pair my BB via bluetooth with my truck w/o going through the On-Star and everyone says that the sound is superb. Are you saying that you can pair with your BB v Bluetooth v Onstar? If so, what advantage does that provide?

My 09 2500hd will Pair with up to two phones. This is not through Onstar, it's a feature on the truck, I love it.
I have never asked Onstar about using my own phone through them but Im guessing it will cost $$. I do have cell minutes with my Onstar but they gave me an actual phone number for that.
