Lowering 2008 Dmax

What is the best way or product to use to lower the font end 1" and the rear 3" on my 2008 2500HD Duramax? Can the front be lowered 1" by taking tension off the torsion bars? Will this affect the ride?

I lowered my keys all the way plus took about 3/8 of an inch off of the keys to get even lower in the front. For the back i took two springs out. If you want to leave the springs Belltech sells a 3" lowering shackels! Lowering the front dosent affect the ride much at all.

To answer your question of why I want to lower it is because I will be using my truck to pull a fifth wheel camper and I will either need to lower the truck or raise the camper. I am buying a new fifth wheel camper this spring and will make the decision then weather to lower the truck or raise the camper depending on what I get for a camper. Plus I do not really like the looks of the huge space between the tires and body on the rear. Chevy really jacked up the back end of these new body styles which is great if you want to put a leveling kit on and bigger tires. But I am going to stay with the stock size 265/70R17 for the best fuel economy. I do want to put some 18" or 20" chrome wheels on it so maybe I will go with a little wider tire if I can but I think I want to keep the same diameter tire as the stock size.

I lowered it because when you drag race in 4x4 u have to lower the front bars to keep from busting the tie rods up. So when you lower the front it looks like a big wedge with the a$$ end all up in the air. Plus, lower cuts throught the air better then higher!!!

Um a few friends of mine have chevys and pull a goose neck and dont have a problem pulling.. Any way if your pulling a gooseneck I definatly wouldnt touch the rear springs or youll lose the load capacity in the rear of the truck.
