My dealer says they cant change them. WTF? Tires are at 60 psi now and light stays off. Want to lower it to about 45-50 to get a better ride, but dont wanna look at tpm light. Don't care about the tiny difference in mileage.

sorry if this was already posted but from my previous vehicles i know that they all had the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) in the valve stems and they had to be changed over to the new tires by whoever installed the new ones. now you could always have them put in if you still have the stock tires but it will probably be some work.

Sorry dude, been working late all week. The only thing I can say is I dealt with the diesel department at my dealership and there were no questions asked. Mine are set to go off at less than 40 psi. They may just be ignorant to this. My dealer is Carl Black GMC in Kennesaw, Georgia. Tell them to talk to the diesel department.

Mine was accomplished by the dealer with their computer programmer. No sensors were changed. No charge.

The dealers are full of @#*$&*@, I have mine set to 50 with a swing value of 3-4 each way.
You need to just smack them around a little, it does take some time for them to reprogram (2hrs) since they have to program the sensor on the rim and then they have to set the trucks computer also (That was what they told me).
It's magic no more light!

the dealer reprogramed my tire pressures could not do tire size though
True That! They won't do any tire size over the largest factory ones offered. You have to go with an after market programmer for that, but at least you get the correct tire size in the computer, better mileage, and OH YAH Tons more POWER.....
