Question

Just picked up my 2008 GMC Sierra SLT Duramax Ext Cab,6'6" bed. I went to order Weathertech floormats I've had success with in other vehicles & they told me they "do not make them for the Sierra with the Allison transmission". I am beating the crap out of the floors, due to rain, mud, snow, etc.. I need to get some good floor mats in there. What has worked for you? - Bill

I am blown away! i have done considerable research & find that there is about zero options for any decent floormats for a GMC 2500HD Duramax/Allison. apparently the floor is a bit different w/ the Allison Trans.

Anyone know of a good resource for floormats? I am trashing my new rig with stock Mats. I am dragging in the Mud & Snow.

-Bill

AKA: GMCeattle

FYI

Weathertech & Husky both say their product does NOT fit a GMC 2500 Ext Cab w/ Duramax/Allison Trans.

Weathertech & husky BOTh say there is someting about the Allison Transmission that changes the contour of the floor (in comparison to Non Allison Trans models).

I guess I could just buy them & see if they fit, but it is just strange that BOTH companies tell me straight up "they will NOT fit a 2008 GMC2500 Extended cab with Duramax/Allison"....

Do you have a Duramax/Allison? ... i assume so, since your in this forum.

Weathertech says it will NOT fit. Sounds like your sdo.... strange....

Check out Husky floormats. Dont know if you'll have the same problem getting them for your 08 though.

Cabellas make some nice looking ones too. They fit a little better that the husky liners. The huskys are a little on the bulky side. The ones from cabellas are a little pricey but fit great.

I have had the same set of Husky's for over 6yrs. now on two different trucks and love them. Been pretty hard on them and still look great.

Who ever told you that just lost a sale because, that is not true. I have an 07 new body style crew cab diesel with the allison, and I have weathertech floor liners in mine.
