new 08 duramax first diesel

I bought this truck to save money on fuel. What can I do to get the best milage. And when? First 90 miles took 8.5 gallons what can I expect after break in (how many miles is that).How should I drive during that.
WOW truck is awesome...had no idea............

Welcome to the DF. You Should see in 15mpg range, Give or take, Brake in depends on how you use it.

Congrats on new truck! It should get better. I'm avg. 18 mi/gal and it only got less than 2000 miles, but allot of it is done on the highways. Hope you enjoy your new truck. Awesome X2!!

To Save Money ?? LOL !

Diesel is gonna be $4 a gallon this summer !!

Love the truck, but I hope your not into saving much money for fuel my friend.

What do you mean GONNA BE.......its already $4.29 a gallon over here....and $4.51 in Riverside.... I think $5.00 a gallon by the time summer gets here....

I think if you want and own a truck you got to look over the price of fuel.And if you think about it it's about the same as gas in along run. I was fueling up every other day in the 00'grand prix and alittle farther in my 08' gmc
