2007.5 + (GMT 900) Non Powertrain--New Body Style--Discussion 07.5 + Topics Not related to the Powertrain, interior, suspensions, body, wheels, tires, ect.
Are any of you having fit and finish issues with your new trucks. The entire dog house on mine needs to be adjusted as the hood does not line up straight and the front bumper is an inch farther to the driver side than it is the passenger side. My grille is about a half inch lower on one side also. The dealer says they have to get approval from a gm rep before they can repair. What a crock of S**T.

Well all, I called GM today and complained about how long it is taking to get this problem resolved and that the dealer says they have to have prior authorization from GM before they can repair. GM says no, no. They should have already repaired it and they promised me my truck will be repaired asap as they will contact the dealer Monday morning. I hope this gets things moving as I was getting very ticked off. The gentleman I spoke with was super nice, understanding and professional. I will keep you posted as to what happens.

Okay, here is an update. I am finally supposed to call the dealer service manager today to get this problem scheduled in to be repaired or adjusted. I hope this gets taken care of. I will let you know what happens. Supposed to call them in about 10 minutes from now so hopefully I will get good news. Who knows.

That is just crazy. I can't believe they let it leave the factory like that. Then the dealer didn't catch it. They should throw in a few freebies for all your trouble.

Yep, always something. I am scheduled to take it in next Monday at 8:30AM. They said they have to cut and re-weld the core support as GM no longer uses a bolt together support system. Only me!!!! I would love to have a new truck with no freaking issues.

I would do some checking before I let them cut or weld on your new truck. That will be concidered (frame damage!) I go to dealer auctions all the time and see whats going on. Do not accept anything but a replacement truck! I am very serious about this. You can do your homework. Don't give in! " G.M is showing it's true colors"

Wow thats weird.. Do you have any pics of whats wrong?
Just to throw it out there. Could the truck have been wrecked before you bought it? A buddy of mine bought a new Denali a while back and after a while you could see the clear coat was pealing off as if it where wrecked. Who knows what happens on the car hauler
