Head Light Bulbs

Is there an easy way to change the head light bulbs on this truck. It's a very tight fit. The manuel don't say squat. Suggestions on the best plan of attack????

I know since 99 there is a L shaped pin that you have to pop up and pull out then the headlight comes out. Takes about 5 seconds.

Are the lamps the same in the new '07's as in the "Classic '07's" ? I'd like to swap the Silver Stars when I trade from my '07 1500 to the 2500HD D/A.

I hope the lamps change as easy on the new body style. Ever had to change them on a Trail Blazer?

the new head lights are completely different from the 07 on down. As far as warranties go, I didn't think that headlights (bulbs) are covered. There are two bolts on the top of the headlight, from there it seems to be a mess. You have to have really small hands to get behind the headlight configuration.

well, it depends on how you take that bumper to bumper warranty. My dad did get headlights replaced and even wiperblades. so it is just how far you want to push the dealership. I can't believe (actually I can) that GM would make it harder to change the light bulbs....engineers don't care how messed up it is to change a part as long as it fits.....you should see some of the parts on the F-16 that we have to change.
