Screen Went Balck, Now Back

Ok, the screen for my nav system, etc went black on me, next morning its working again, but now I can hear either the Nav disc or the CD disc motor running all the time. Going in next Monday. 3 things..... Is this something I possibly did, or is this just a bad unit, and second has anybody had this happen, and third, has it killed the batteries?

You hear it running all the time? Even with the key off with it sitting for a few minutes?

If you havent done anything to the truck lately (a programmer or mess with the electrics etc.) then you should be good! Its probably the nav system itself. I heard GM is good on warranting there radios.

Yep! It makes the little noise it makes when you first open the dor, which according to the book is normal. When that stops, you really have to listen closely, but you can hear it. I think its the Nav system cd motor running.

Yea, I listened to that kinda bull from Ford with my old ride, but my responce to them was the same its going to be to the Chevy dealer if they say that, it wasnt doing it when I drove it off the lot so how can it be normal. 9 times out of 10 the Ford dealer finally fixed the problems because a week or so later they were paying a wrecker bill.

Well, it is normal. I went and listened to 6 others on the lot I bought it from. The ywere able to get to my truck early, so the guy I bought it from opened up 6 others on the lot, and sure enough, same noise. Tech came and got me, an seaid all is OK, and that I must have hit the right buttons to turn the screen off accidentally. we'll see
