i have a 5" turbo back with no muffler on mine and love it, and there are many on here that have done the dpf delete also. Let me know if any questions.

I did mine also and I will not look back. The DPF hold back alot of power and fuel mileage.

To answer the question you asked. It is illegal to modify exhaust components.[WHO CARES]But on the other hand it's always a trade off. They[GM stealer]can void the warranty, but they do not in all cases.Dealerships vary quite a bit on their tolerance of tuners, exhaust, etc.I would call around 1st,then if they asked why it was removed, tell them that you were scared to meltdown the engine, and needed cooler EGT's.This may not work but when you start modding the truck, you can pretty much forget about the warranty, but not all cases,it just depends...

The LMM Dmax is much more efficienct with the DPF removed! At 70mph on a straight trip I averaged 20.2 mpg calculated. The DIC showed 21.3-21.5 (inaccurate!) This is with stock tires/wheels.

As far as emmisions/inspections are concerned, be ready to find a small repair shop willing to overlook the minor details when inspecting...

Tyler with meyerperformance has a nice little MBRP exhaust package with the Quadzilla Stealth 2 for DPF delete.
