| Hi! I'm thinking about getting a 2011 Chevy 2500 with lml duramax. Just like to know what people are getting for city and highway mileage; also towing mileage. I'll be towing 5500-6000 lb TT. Might be getting into a 27-28 foot 5th wheel in the future. Appreciate your input! Thanks! |

I have a Jayco travel trailer about 5500 lbs, but I don't know what sort of mileage I'll get pulling it. I put the camper in winter storage in mid Oct, and I bought my new 2011 GMC 2500HD Duramax about 2 weeks later. So I won't be towing the camper behind it until mid to late April at the soonest. on edit: FWIW, my previous truck, a 99 F-250 7.3 would get about 12 to 14 pulling that same camper.

| I've been getting about 14.5 ever since I've had it. Thats been the DIC reading. I haven't hand calculated yet, or made a long highway run.

| I've found the "Fuel Used" read out on the DIC to be a little high. For example if it read 20 gallons used, it would take take 19 to fill the tank. With that in mind, the "Average MPG" is therefor a little less than hand crunched numbers. |

| If it uses less than it "thinks" it uses, then the milege is better than it "thinks" it ise. (less fuel = better mileage)

| No you don't. It's all in the right foot. MY LML gets 2mpg better than my LMM and the same as my 2005 LLY. LML has much more power and a stronger platform, brakes, frame suspension,GVWR ect.

| 2011 2500 duramax Thanks everyone. If I can count on getting around 16 city and 20 highway driving then I'll be quite happy! I presume you get this mileage without any mods due to warranty issues. |
