| Check it in the morning when it is cool and then again after it warms up.

| Junior Member ![]() | Will do. It was cool when I looked at it last and it was low. Filled it up this evening, so I'll check it in the morning and when it's warm.

| I went in today and they did a leak test which showed a slow leak (to quote the guy it only lost a few PSI). They found evidence of coolant leaking on the driver side so they decided to keep it overnight so they could do another leak test and then drive it in the morning to check a few more things. The problem is the block heater is on the passenger side, there are not a lot of things that could be leaking coolant on the driver side. They did say they may pull glow plugs and see if there is any coolant in the cylinders. This is the second time I have had the truck in for a coolant leak the first time they found a leak in the EGR cooler, the fact that they could not find a definite location this time is a little disheartening. The truck only has 2800 miles on it and it is still leaking coolant after two trips to the dealer.

| Thank you for correcting my memory, Grasshopper101. I would love to be able to help with the questions you’ve asked, but since I’m not a technician I’m not able to diagnose or advise about this. I realize that many members don’t like to go the dealership for various reason, but I would take it in so they can at least document your concerns as this may prove to be helpful in the future if needed. | @Map, thank you so much for the additional details. If you continue to have concerns with the vehicle, you can contact General Motors of Canada. Their toll free telephone number is 1-800-263-3777. Their hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 11:30pm EST and Saturday, 7:30am to 6pm EST. They might be able to get other departments within GM Canada involved to work with you and the dealership to get this resolved. Michelle, GM Customer Service |

| Junior Member ![]() | I dropped off my truck at the dealership this evening. It has a 7:00 am appt to have a pressure test. I'll post back with what they tell me. I popped the hood when I got to the dealer and the coolant was just below the MAX line. Started out on the MIN line. I told them it will probably be below the MIN line in the morning.

| Just found out mine is leaking from around the head bolts. They found some coolant stains on the glow plugs last night and that prompted them to dye the system. This morning they found both banks leaking around the bolts. They are sending the heads off to have them pressure tested. Best case is next Saturday if they do not have to replace the heads. If they have to replace the heads I am sure they are ordered from the plant and not on hand so that adds another 5-7 days. Anyone know if there is any recourse? The first time I brought the truck in for the coolant leak it was at ~900 miles and now it only has 2800 miles on it. I am not overly excited about having to replace the heads on a 2 month old truck, especially since the problem probably came from the factory. If anyone has any experience with this some advice would be appreciated.
