All of my filters were like that the first time I changed them. I dented the housing on my FF trying to get it of.

My filters are the same way..tight as hell on first change. Like to never got the oil filter off using a wrench and 6 in ratchet handle. I'm picturing this huge guy at the factory leaning into every one for arm build up.

When I first started to twist the darn thing I could feel the sides pushing in, not quite enough room to grab it up top, got a fresh set of mechanics gloves, and squeezed the bee jesus out of it and it finally let loose.

Oil filter, Slip wrench style worked for me, if you don't have one, a strap and a pair of vice grips does the same thing.

Over-torqued fuel filters are the hardest, it can really tests your manhood; and why? Itís only an ĎOíring seal, not a lugnut.

Just to add....the oil, fuel, and Allison spin-on filters should only be tightened by hand, and all 3 are different in the amount of rotation needed after flange contact.
