I had codes cleared at Auto Zone up till about 2 years ago. They said there was a law suit where they were accused of clearing something that resulted in a dangerous condition and they weren't allowed to clear them any more. If it ain't the guvmint it's the dang amblins chasers.

Yes def was filled 800km ago it took 600km to acknowledge the fill. I think it has something to do with the urea. ? Maybe? I did not renew my onstar I think that is all a bunch if crapp. Long story why but in short it is undependable here for what I needed.

Could be the def frozen? I think you get 30 mins or something for the truck to thaw the def tank before it throws a code but with the temps we've had the last week or so I don't think that's long enough, can you warm it up in a shop/garage overnight?

Maybe? It's been outside. Does the def tank have a 115 volt heater in it? Like the block heater but in the def tank? I know there is a 12 volt heater in the tank maybe it isn't enough when temps approach the -30c mark?

I'll know tomorrow it's going into the dealer.

Just the 12 volt heater I think and at 30 below I think it's too cold to properly thaw before it throws a code. I guess you could add an auxiliary 115volt pan heater if it becomes a problem. You'd hafta install it between the tank and the outter tank cover insulation piece.
Let us know what the dealer says

Well dealer has the truck they'll have it all night and hopefully it'll be fixed tomorrow. I was told the urea tank was frozen solid it needs to defrost They tried to download a new program for the 12v elements to maintain. But couldn't for some reason. They suspected because the tank was frozen. So maybe I'll know more tomorrow.
