I don't know where I read this, Be it FB or over on another forum, a gentleman stated that the tuning fried his motor, stated it burned a hole in his piston, truck only had 10K with the tuner put on, supposedly was hot shotting with his vehicle, only ran the hot tune once. For some miraculous reason I can not find the thread.
Either way As sad as it is to hear this dilemma, I would be curious to see just what let go, It has my interest, but if it happens to me, It may be time to do what others have said try a mock up with the LMM.

Some of you guys don't seem to understand my point here. I am already planning on rebuilding the engine myself. This failure goes under the heading of "Pay to play." The only things I'm going to spend significant money on are parts for my new build.

As far as GM is concerned, I'm more interested in at least encouraging them to do right by people with modified vehicles. They did not even bother diagnosing the problem. That is why the Magnuson-Moss act was written. Every once in a while, lawmakers do things to actually help and protect people instead of lining their own pockets. So, I am just asking GM to follow the law, document, and acknowledge that these engines are very complicated systems and they may not always act the way that you expect. And why shouldn't I at least follow through on my side and see if they will honor the spirit of law and make sure that I screwed the pooch. Sure, it might cost them some technician time, but I know how much they pay for warranty stuff and it's not that much. I paid $60k for this truck. They can afford to put a few $ back into it. I'm not going to go whine and complain that they screwed me over or that they have somehow hurt me.

As far as what happened leading up to the failure, there was no warning that I saw. Of course, a thermocouple in the exhaust port will not tell you what the cylinder pressures are, but it will give you insight into what the temperatures are. Funny enough, the two are often related. In a closed environment (combustion chamber), one goes up and so does the other. I did not see excessively high EGT values while driving. I am relatively picky about watching these things. Again, all of this is useless without a teardown and examination of the failures. When I get there, I will be sure to share pics of the carnage and we can all form our own opinions on what happened.

So once I find out what died in this "strengthened" engine, I will definitely upgrade. I will be sure to share the build up when I get there as well.

No one knows if their stronger. They are a different design than LB7/LLY and LBZ/LMM pistons, a lot cheaper, and look different as well. It was only a matter of time untill we found the limit of these pistons, as to me, their worse than LBZ/LMM's because we dont even have custom tuning yet for the LML and their already started to crack.

Ive never liked W/M for this very reason. You dont exactly know how much timing/ cylinder pressure is being added into the mix.

The M-M act says that the warrantor of a warrantee must fully disclose the terms of the warrantee, which GM does. GM does not need to diagnose the problem with your engine failure because you modified the engine. If your power window stopped working, that would be a different story.

Imagine the cost of a new vehicle if GM had to investigate the cause of every failure, no matter what the owner did to it.

Even if you did want to fight something that should be covered by the M-M act, you should pay to have it investigated, and then be reimbursed if GM was at fault. You are basically asking GM to investigate if you have grounds to sue them.

Why arent you trying to go after the warrantees offered by H&S and Snow

I have to agree with you on this one. I would be interested to hear what H&S and Snow have to say.
