If it gets noticeable around 85 I'll be good..........Is your low end still there? I'll be pulling and don't want it to have troubles... I wanted to get folks thoughts and experiences.
I'm figuring on the 5 with no muffler.....

Diesels don't need back pressure.. The turbo helps with that and there is no performance difference between 4" and 5"... You still will always have a 4" or less down-pipe

Turbo'd vehicles don't need back pressure, not specially diesels FWIW. It's basic turbo principals.

No back pressure needed on a diesel with a turbo man, also your performance is limited due to the size of your down pipe so the only difference is a lower tone with the 5"

Installed a 4" MBRP with muffler this week on our other dmax. It is extremely quiet. Just like factory. Has a little more whistle to it over the factory, but that's it. If you want factory quiet, get the muffler. If not, get the straight pipe...

Good choice. If you want sound, don't get the muffler. I was really surprised how quiet it was with a muffler.

We have a 2006 dmax with a 4" MBRP and muffler, and it is louder than factory. Not straight pipe loud, but definitely louder than factory muffler. I was expecting the same thing with the lml, but was wrong.
