s&b intake help

I know this has been covered but im on my lunchbreak at work installing my s&b intake. I have a 2013 duramax I swapped the maf sensor over. But what do I do with tje other sensor on my stock airbox? Just leave it unplugged?

Contact the Dealer you got it from and have them send you the right kit. Dry filter kit Item #: 75-5065D Cotton Filter Item #: 75-5065 In the interim put your stock intake back on you'll throw a code.

I remember reading at some point someone had the same issue and they were told just to leave ot alone I think

Now that you brought it up, I remember reading that, Though I believe he had to swap the kit out. Here ya go Just installed s&b intake. Check engine light?

If you do drive it fuel mileage goes down and check engine light comes on. Not sure what the sensor actually reads

A mass air flow sensor is used to find out the mass flow-rate of air entering a fuel-injected internal combustion engine. The air mass information is necessary for the engine control unit (ECU) to balance and deliver the correct fuel mass to the engine. Air changes its density as it expands and contracts with temperature and pressure. Only thing I can think of why GM is Using two is that the mapping changed. seen this done in injected Gas engines. maybe Kory, Rob have a better explanation in the tuning aspect of it.

I put it back to stock. Check engine lights still on. Do I need to disconnect my batteries

What is the part number of your intake? there is a difference between the 2012 and 2013 intakes.
