my factory water temp says 220 but it really runs 180-190, i monitor boost, soot mass, 3 egts, coolant temp, tranny temp, oil pressure.

the factory temp gauge is programmed to rise quickly, giving the driver the false idea of the engine warming up quickly. I guess customers complained that their dmaxes were very cold blooded on the obs so gm decided to fix the problem in their own shady way. Mine takes about 10 minutes to hit a 100* from cold start (60*ish) when the factory gauge hits 160-180* in about 5 minutes.I drive 10 miles(another 15-20 minutes) and it's about 180* when the factory gauge says 210.

agreed. My temp gauge reads 200 to 210 most the time when its really around 180..
i monitor whats in my sig. Although trans temps see to be really close.. i will be adding way more gauges in the near future because i just wanna know what everything is doing. I was thinking about a cts monitor but im going with a bunch gauges everywhere. Lol i like the looks of them
