2011 Dmax Fuel Filter Change

I got to be pretty good with a fuel filter change on my 2004 Dmax, from the top, no problems.

The 2011 Dmax is very crowded on top of the fuel filter. Any suggestion how to do it yourself. If you take out the fender liner do you have to replace the plastic rivets everytime?

I wonder if you can get to it from underneath?

i pull my liner on my lmm only takes a few minutes and aslong and take care of the clips they will last... i have had the liner out well over 10 times and clips good as new.

best 1/8 et. 8.06

15 lml cc/sb stock besides korys tunes and exhaust...tint and some linex...

Sure.. if you have tiny hands..

going from the side is easy, just get the Fuel Filter cutout.

how does the fuel filter cut out work? do you cut the factory wheel well liner?

I just ordered one ( cut out ) off fleabay for 19.95 and free shipping.

I took a mudflap cast-off and cut it down to make an access door in the liner on my LMM. The access door is the way to go, IMO. I don't know why GM doesn't put one there, it's not a new idea to 'em, they did the same thing on the early S-10s.

Now that was funny back then, watchin' 3 of Quickie-Lubes' best trying to remove the filter on one of the 1st early '80s S-10s. After 30 minutes they gave up and told me the bad news...I walked over and lifted the flap and said, "Ya'll mean THIS filter here won't come off?"
