So I finally got my truck leveled out and it still didn't look right to me, finally it hit me the rear finderwells were silver and standing out like a sore pecker so I started plotting on what to spray them with. Sitting here this morning at work bored to death I started looking and it seems like most other LMLs in the pic threads have blacked out wells, is this factory or just something most people do first off on their trucks?
I actually just sprayed mine today. I used 3M undercoat that you can get at any auto parts store. It took 2 cans. They were 10 bucks each I think. Just be sure to mask off the body. I cleaned the Inner fenders with acetone first but they were by no means spotless. It came out great. We will see about durability. It still pisses me off that my $50k truck did not come standard with rear liners.
on my previous truck I had rhino lining spray my rear wheel wells when they spayed my bed on the current truck I had the dealer put in the wheel well liners
I ordered my truck with the LTZ trim. When I picked up my truck the liners were not installed. The salesman told me that they were an accessory option. I said nay, nay. It says right here on the sticker that they are included. Come to find out GM sends them to the parts department for the trucks, not in the backseat like they used to do to be installed at PDI. The parts department kept wondering why GM kept sending them fender liners. I wonder how many people paid for theirs twice?
+1, I had my rear wheel wells Line-X'd when I did the bed.
