Accel during braking

Wife called me earlier and said the truck accelerates on its own and she had to slam on the brakes to keep from hitting someone. I'm not really clear on details of the situation. I personally have experienced acceleration on down shift while braking. Has anyone else experienced this?

I get it every now and then when I'm coming to a stop. Seems to happen sometimes when the converter unlocks...
So far I've always had my foot on the brake...

So did I but I'm afraid that it will get away from my wife. She likes to follow a bit too close

Not a new issue - I said something about this in my LML and was told it's the fuel slosh - it is certainly not that, I narrowed it down to an issue during regen, it only happened while I was in regen, and only in certain situations. It's a slight rev bump as you come out of 2nd to 1st during a stop. and only when going downhill or on a level grade - it will not do it going up hill. (nose of truck pointed up). I spent the better part of a year chasing this very issue.

I agree it's related to the converter unlocking, it feels like a release of spring energy it's a short burst with a slight bump in rev's.

Might just be the elevated rpms during regen.

DPF/SCR technology summarized in three words: It doesn't work.
