| Well a little update to go with my questions lately. I took the truck camping this weekend and it performed wonderfully. My trailer is not big. loaded I would say near 8k lbs. But the truck pulled it effortlessly the whole weekend I was really impressed. Went up a 7% grade in 98 degree weather doing 65-70mph with no issues. I know thats a little fast to be pulling but I wanted to see just how well it would do while I watched the gauges closely. boost was around 18-19psi egt was 1100-1200 and the tranny did great. Trans went from 188 to 200 during the whole pull and then once on flat ground dropped right back down.
So I guess our concern with it not frying the tires from take off should just not be a concern the truck does what we want from it and thats pull. Thanks for all the advice though guys much appreciated.

almost forgot I had a avg mpg of 12.8 by the end of the trip.
