Sled pulling basics for IFS trucks

Summer is here and that means its sled pulling time! I am new to IFS HD trucks and the Dmax and I have a few questions so I figured this would be the best place to ask. I have pulled before with my ford but I never worried about that truck because it had a Dana 60 with an open diff up front and I figured I would never break it.

1. Do you guys crank down your t-bars to get more weight over the front end?

2. On a stock truck with no mods will the factory tie-rods hold up?

3. What gear and range do you pull in? Wet, tacky, dry track?

4. tow/haul mode?

5. Is it going to hop real bad? If it does can it take it?

6. is the stock receriver going to cut it?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. I love sled pulling its such a rush, I just don't want to look like an a** or be sitting at the end of the track with my tires pointing towards each other!
