The only thing i can think that has happened is i may have made the mistake of turning up the tune while running SVO causing a high enough rail pressure to break the regulator. I havent replaced it yet so its kind-of still up in the air as to whether it really is the regulator or the pressure senser, which is what the people at Golden fuel systems say is likely. But hot or not SVO is going to have a higher viscosity then diesel i think. Im going tolook into mixing my SVO to try to prevent this in the future.

Hey buddy! Love your story, sorry about it not coming through for you. My thoughts, if I may, is that the tune in which you tuned up the boost, fuel timing, etc. should be left on a fuel economy tune and nothing more. I know of no one out there using waste veggie oil as performance fuel. Just by reading what it does and how it effects performance alone kind of gives you some idea as to how to use this fuel.

Since you are a lot farther along then I have ever taken my self with this subject, out side of theory, veggie oil is good for a long distance cruising fuel. If you plan on doing a trip from Chicago to Seattle or New York city to Dallas then veggie oil is the perfect fuel to fill in the expensive fuel to come in doing so.

All in all, when you ask for performance out of this fuel you are asking to increase the amount of fuel you need because it does not has as much energy as D2 fuel. Doing so wears down the injector pump and injectors for whatever I have yet to read on, though this is what I have read happen to several other people doing this on their very own diesels. Overall, this fuel was NEVER meant to run a diesel yet it is possible with care, time, and money.

Personally, I commend you for attempting this on your fairly new truck. Most people these days run veggie oil in anything from tractors, to boats, to tractor trailers. Old Mercedes Benz with indirect injection work for best for this operation but this is a expensive market to get into since most owners sell their old clunkers for an arm and a leg. IE. Saw a 1987 Benz Wagon that was 9K with over 200K miles. Insane.

Just get whatever it is that needs fixing and take it from there. Rip open the new part and find out whats going on. Ether way good luck and report back to us on what it was that screwed your truck over. I look forward to hearing from ya.
