I got my truck last week and drove 2 hours to the north side of Denver in 50 degree temps and the temp gage was steady at 210, well just below 210.

I drove it a couple of days ago in 30 degree temps and the engine temp never reached 210. I have a GM radiator cover and I'm wondering if anyone uses radiator covers. I don't see many of them used around here. Will a lower temp decrease the MPG?

I am just trying to get used to running a oil burner.

I am a new LLY owner and I am really happy with the switch from a 90 5.7 Suburban to the 05 duramax. I am learning a lot form this site and appreciate all the knowledge sharing.
