Mobile 1 thru re-refined was used and after 100,000 miles the test vehicles were dismantled and the wear was negligible. The main summary point was it's not the oil so much as the regular maintenance that will protect the internal components best. Like I say many will disagree and we all take care of our rigs like we think we know best. I say good luck to all.
I dissagree with that statement.. oil mostly breaks down because of oxidisation and nitration..that all relates to heat and loading and unloading the engine..oil is very specific to the type of engine and the kinds of stress that the engine is under.. That is why they make different grades ash content and put in different additives in oil..Most of the dirt and contaminants in oil is generated from the engine firing and temperature changes in the oil..So in saying that i think you should be buying oil from people who can take in consideration where you live (temperature) and what type of driving you do..

just my opinion...
