My suggestion in this case, is to first figure out how many amps you have added to the truck, and then see if you can get that in one alternator. They make 300amp alternators. Adding another battery wont make much of a difference, as its the alternator your going off of when the vehicle is running.

As for the high idle, that can always be added in. BD Engine sells a kit for a hair over $20.
