Can anyone tell me if this is the normal for this truck or can the dealer do something about it. I was told it could just be that the truck computer needs to be reset or re adjusted. Is that true?
Any input would be helpful. Also my dash is telling me that my fuel filter is at 32 percent. Is it time to replace it, or can I wait a bit longer.
Thank you. I look forward to as much input as I can get, | I would think if the truck was modified by GM, that they would and should flash the computer to make the mileage correct. I would call a local dealer and talk to them about it. Or find out where the truck was bought and call them. As for the DIC and it's readings. Don't listen to it. Me personally, I change my fuel, oil, and tranny spin on every 6 thousand. Makes me know I'm doing the right thing. Some guys will say you can get more out of them, but I do the safe thing. And also, if there is a Lift and Big tires on it, and it's stock. That mileage would probably be accurate. Go get an aftermarket exhaust, and EFI live or PPE and you should be fine. Actually, with EFI Live I think you can reset your computer for the Speedo.
