I would say PPE would be better for mileage and a bit safer. But you have to remember you are comparing apples and oranges. PPE is a tune that re-programs your computer. EDGE just piggybacks onto your computer and send a different signal out to the truck, which allows for on-the-fly power changing and a device that allows you to monitor EGTS, Boost, etc. With PPE you will need to buy at least a Boost and EGT guage and mount them in your truck. Plus if you are doing this, get an aftermarket exhaust to keet your EGT's down.
