| The limp mode that Tow Master is talking about is when the transmission senses slippage and in most cases will either lock you into 3rd gear or limit your rpm's to 2000. The quick temporary fix is to pull over and shut the truck for a minute or two then clear the codes when you get home. About the only fix is to either back off the throttle or replace the trans with a high performance one. Honestly, I am suprised it lasted this long with the size of your truck and the tires. Also I wouldn't rule out low fuel rail pressure either.
