| I guess it depends on who you ask, Yamaha. Some people on this site regularly (in some cases daily) pull well over the rated capacity of the truck. As long as the truck is well maintained and you take the necessary precautions it is probably ok. In Treeman's case an aux. tranny cooler could have possibly saved him a lot of grief. (not tryin to knock you man). You'll just have to make sure things like trailer brakes, truck brakes, fluids etc. are all in good condition, and you should be fine.
In my case... I've pulled ~8-9k lbs of skidsteer and trailer with my '92 1/2 ton chevy. Was for only bout 50 miles, and had awesome trailer brakes, but I woudn't do it again unless I HAD too. You on the other hand should be fine. |
