You are going to want to keep the size under control. The reason most of the units you see are under the hood is to keep the amount of gas to a minimum before you use it. I have seen pics of a 6-pack of quart jars for a big rig. The unit I am close to installing in mine has 8 sets of plates and holds about a quart of water. One number I heard was 7 liters per hour for engines up to about the 6.0 range.

Enough is enough, but too much can most certainly be dangerous. one guy here had his blow up. Mostly due to poor assembly techniques, but it is important to remember, there is a lot of energy in this stuff.
