| Yep the 40 hp tune would be alright. Shouldn't get your egt's too high. Put some gauges in there and you'll be able to monitor it a little easier. I ran mine about 9 months on the 90 hp tune(level2) and never a problem then I got the tranny and lift pump and bumped it to the 350 tune on my Hot+2! You'll be fine.
