 Why fix if not broke???
 grease or teflon were not intended,the o-ring is the seal,o-rings are really good at sealing hydraulic components,they can hold insane amounts of pressure!!.The plastic and o-ring set up do not require an insane amount of tightening,  jus snug.I would hate to replace fuel system components knowing I put something there that didn't need to be..JMHO
