| X2...you can change over whenever you feel comfortable. Some people, including me, waited for 1K miles, or so, for most of the assembly debris to dislodge - similar to some of the recommendations of waiting 5K miles to change out the gear lube and the Allison spin-on filter.
I have a lot of left over, unopened Amsoil DEO 5W40 Premium in the gallon size. If you need three gallons, I have some for pretty cheap - it's just taking up room in my garage.
