just wondering

my bro. in law just bought a 6.5 littre suburban the other day and we werewondering if you could turn anything up like you can on the old 12 valves?

You should be able to turn up the injection pump.
I don't know any details, I'm sure some the 6.5 owners will chime in.

Naw stock is the only thing you can do. There is a injection pumped that can be raised or lowered. BUT thats just to make them run correctly. If they run fine and you turn them up or down the truck will run like crap (trust me). There is a computer chip you can isntall that makes them run better. I have seen them on ebay before.

i would think you could turn pump and advance timing but not sure.

Sorry I hate to argue but unless you know what your doing and from first hand experiance DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!

My dad owns a auto shop and no one I know and work with could figure mine out. Some how (I haven't figured out how) when you adjust the timing you have to also adjust it electronicaly using a Tech I that the dealers have.

You can get a chip for the newer 6.5. Not all have computers. Only from 95 up I do beleive.

Me and step dad bought a 93 6.5 cc/dually for a play around in truck. It don't have computer so we can't really do awhole lot with out doing alot to motor and turbo.
