I've been running my new BD PMT for three days now and really enjoy the new power out of my Duramax. It is really surprising how a new tune can wake up these trucks. After three days of work here are my PMT pros and cons: Pros - easy install; built in screen that mounts on pillar pod to provide truck component feed back (ie EGT, Pyro, boost, injector etc....); adjustable on the fly; upgradeable for free; . Cons - Does not have the power tune that matches PPE (super tune like Crazy Larry); does not provide DPF delete; Tech support not open 24/7 (Ok I am asking for to much); lacking customer feedback since it is such a new product.
This is truly an unbiased opinion. I spent weeks researching all the tuners and came up with my favorite list EFI live, PPE, Quadzilla, and Bully Dog PMT. I would have to say EFI live is the way to go if you have time and patience to tweak tunes till your heart is content. What really sold me is all the electronic gauges that you get with the PMT.
