Yeah your right where to tap it. Follow the tube with the plastic cover on the right side of the engine (the EGR is underneath this part) follow this tube down the right side(passenger side) of the engine until you come to the clamp where it meets the intercooler tube. Somewhere around here is where you can tap it. The best way to do this is take the plastic cover off of the intake manifold and take the whole manifold off and tap it. It is only 6 or 7 bolts and is easy to take off. I tapped mine right before it meets the intercooler tube and clamp. As for the electrical, the boost gauge is mechanical and only needs power to light the bulb so you can see it at night, however the pyro is electrical and needs power from both the dimmer switch and the ignition. One to power it the other to light the bulb for nighttime driving. I followed the diesel manor instructions and didn't have any problems, but keep us posted if you have any hangups.
