Magnet

Hey guys, since you all are talking about the magnet in the tranny filter (and by the way THANK YOU because I did'nt know about the magnet until just now and went to retrieve it from the old one still sitting in the garage).

Question: What condition is your magnets in when you change the filter? If the transmission is healthy, what should the magnet look like? Mine was covered in black grease like gunk. Not bad and no visible metal but not red either. It didn't even really look dirty until I wiped it off then it was a thin layer of gunk. Normal?
