| Need a bigger tire....but
It has to be a 10 ply. This is for 02 Chevy Duramax crew cab, with a Fisher MM 2 plow on the front, the reason for the 10 ply. I've had three sets of BFG TA/KO's, two were on my old 2500 GMC regular cab and they were okay. But the set that is wearing out now on my diesel did not fare well at all. From the 245's on now I'm not sure if I'll go to the 285 or stop at the 265's(mileage and fit). Not to many places to tire shop in ME, best choice at Sears appears to be the Wrangler SilentArmor, or BFG. They 'might' be able to order Nitto's. Not doing too much heavy towing, yet, but it gets used well in the snow and mud, but also putting a lot of miles on it so a real aggressive tire is out.
What's another good tire to handle this?
(I'll put talking about a lift for the front to handle weight and accomodate tires in other forum.) |
