| Danger:big tires on OEM wheels we have been having problems with aluminum OEM wheels on the Duramax wearing out on the wheel bead but didn't know what causes it for a long time but now we know so i'll try my best to explain the problem and will post pics if i get time..
Problem:the OEM wheels are 6.5" wide and if you install to wide of a tires the tires move enough on the wheels that it will wear the bead of the wheels,i'm talking about the lip where the wheel weights hook onto.it can will end in wheel failure.i'll post pics and you can see then what i mean.this is a warning if you want bigger tires you need to do aftermarket wheels.
