all the classic with 16" wheels come in a 6.5" wide and it is only with to wide a tire this will happen,it took us almost 2YRs to figure out what cause this and yes after it go's long enough it will wear the wheel bead to nothing and then what happens it will cut into the tire bead causing leaks and blowouts and yes i have seen it that bad that they blow so i thought i would warn you all of this so don't put 285's on your stock Alluminum wheels or else plan on doing wider wheels allthough 265's don't do that.285's equal like 7.5-8.0 wide wheels
heres a few pics of one with 1 set of 285-75R16 tires and roughly 1 half years time later this is how they looked today when i changed out the tires
