| There is not a stock lift pump on the d-max. You must be getting air someplace. Go back and check all of your connections and the filter itself for any airleaks. Check the wif sensor too, it is known for cracking and letting air into the system.
When you pump the primmer and it gets hard will fuel come out of the bleeder screw?
