I have seen the wires break on the sidewalls^^looks like that.The support is gone and all that's holdin is the rubber!!!
As stated above^Angelic1] this can happen from real bad potholes and rubbing curbs etc. In this case^^DAMN,,I would have to say=Faulty sidewall wires,then the tire swells,giving you a surprise at a untimely moment!!!
