| You really don't need a BOV IMO on a diesel. The programming is pretty good on these trucks. The only time that you might need one is if you were doing the tractor pulls and you let off the throttle when you are stopped. It would keep the turbo from barking, but I don't think I have ever heard my turbo bark on my LB7. I haven't ever seen my boost drop off during shifts...I have the allison....now, if you are making big power with a different turbo and you have the manual, then you might actually need a BOV. Most people just have them to sound "cool" like a ricer. I haven't read of many people adding a BOV though.
