Well for those interested, I removed front of the dash and pulled out the stereo and started probing wires with test light, when I got to the plug with the most wires in it and probed the small orange wire, lower right hand corner if facing plug ( stereo side ) door chime tuned off. But found if left test light in wire long enough it would start to effect gauges. This tells me must go to computer or ? Removed wire from stereo and found radio wouldnt work. Tried grounding radio terminal to see if would come on with no luck. Checked orange wire with meter and found very minimul voltage if any. Put all back to the way it was didn't know what else to do.
So started pulling apart stering colum thinking must be a switch to tell truck when key is in. Found small white switch on top of key cylinder that was activated with key in. Took and released keeper on left side of switch and rotated it clock ways and pulled straight up to remove. Found this disabled door chime when key is in and door open so can listen to radio with engine off without being bothered. So far no side effects from this that have been found. Left switch laying on top of colum and put all covers back on. So happy I got ride of at least part of the door chime problem. Now if I can get ride of the rest i would really be happy.
