U0101 Lost Comm with TCM

Emmissions Warranty? no I don't think it would, but it should be covered. That is the Transmission Control Module losing connection/ communication, I would just check the plugs at the TCM to make sure that everything is plugged in correctly, maybe put some dielectric grease on the inside of the plug. But if there is something is wrong then I would think it would be covered...

The TCM is located on the drivers side of the radiator in the enigne bay...

Glad you are around did read the latest on my posts yesterday? Stealership says the TCM is toast and my 3 yr 36000 warranty expired by four months and 76 miles so repair is $989 plus tax!!! Told him I would just pick it up and he told me that it was $257 for diagnostics. ? Seems awful steep. Don't know what the heck to do

WELL, you ARE covered according to my dealer. The TCM is covered under the Emissions Warranty By the way.

They said that the only thing that would give them pause is if you had a tuner on it or something. If it still stock then you are covered...

Wow... just more and more dealer incompetence. That kind of ignorance offends me... guess I will never take my vehicle to a dealer.
